PKP-BP – The Best Weapon in Battlefield 2042 Right Now
With its weapon stats and the number of times people might have noticed that they are getting killed by it, it is not that big of a surprise that this weapon is on this list. If you play even an hour of Battlefield 2042 a day, it will immediately become apparent that most of your deaths are from this weapon.
For the weapon stats, the PKP-BP has a magazine size of 200 rounds, a recoil that is so easily manageable that it seems there isn’t any at all, and a rate of fire of 800 to 850 rounds per minute which depends on the ammo type you are using. These stats make the PKP-BP objectively the best weapon, if not the same, compared to all SMGs or assault rifles in the game.
The only drawback of this weapon is that you will have to pre- aim quite often. It is because of the large sprint to fire delay of about one second while using the tactical sprint. With the PKP-BP, you will win most firefights, especially if you pre-aim.

MP9
Choosing between the MP9 and the K30 was a tough decision. With an extended mag or a drum mag, and the incredibly high rate of fire, the K30 absolutely shreds enemies at close range. However, Battlefield 2042 is not a game where you will encounter close-range fights that often. Due to the lack of versatility of the K30, we just had to choose the MP9.
The MP9 is a great middle-ground for SMGs. With a rate of fire that is not as fast as the MP9, you won’t have to worry about reloading that often. The recoil of the MP9 is also much easier to control than the K30, which makes it effective medium ranges as well.
AC-42
Despite the MP9 being great to medium to close range, not everyone wants to play at these ranges. Some of us want to play at medium to long-range. For this purpose, we have the AC-42. It is a burst fire weapon with tons of accuracy and damage.
Even if you are not a fan of burst weapons, you should try the AC-42 because you can potentially take down an enemy with an AC-42 in a single burst. If you do like burst fire weapons, then you are going to love the AC-42. This is by far the best long-range assault rifle in the game right now.
