Sabrent has upped its game and has released an upgraded version of its popular NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe Card (EC-PCIE) PCIe M.2 adapter. This new tool-free PCIe to M.2 card (EC-TFPE) operates similarly but can handle the newest Gen5 SSDs. This PCIe NVMEadapter AIC is designed to be easy to use and keep SSDs cool and quiet. SABRENT M.2 NVMe SSD to PCIe x16 Tool-Free Add-In Card (AIC) with Aluminum Heatsink, M.2 PCIe Adapter for Gen5 SSDs PCIe 5.0, Backwards Compatible with Previous PCIe Generations (EC-TFPE).
The Sabrent M.2 NVMe SSD to PCIe x16 Tool-Free Add-In Card (AIC) with Aluminum Heatsink (EC-TFPE) is an update to our extremely popular NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe Card (EC-PCIE). The (EC-TFPE) is designed to handle the newest SSDs at Gen5 speeds and can keep them running cool – and quiet – with its built-in aluminum heatsink and thermal padding. The card is tool-free with an x16 physical connector for physical stability but may fit some x4/x8 PCIe slots. The card connects at x4 PCIe electrically for maximum SSD performance, and it will work in previous PCIe generation slots at their respective speeds, as well as in future PCIe generation slots at up to 5.0 speeds.
The tool-less design allows for easy SSD installation into the add-in card. It’s never been easier to quickly add more fast storage to your system without the worry of extra screws, extra noise, or extra steps.
The card supports M key NVMe SSDs and older B+M key PCIe (AHCI/NVMe) SSDs in the M.2 2230 / 2242 / 2260 / 2280 form factors for maximum flexibility. This makes it simple to add another SSD to your system, whether new or old. Full NVMe support is recommended, which requires motherboard compatibility and a newer operating system. Windows, macOS, and Linux are supported with their compliant versions, and you can easily manage your drives with the appropriate software.
