Today sees the release of many new X870 and X870E motherboards and NZXT is joining in on the fun with their newest motherboard, the N9 X870E. NZXT has released quite a few products as of late, but this has to be one of the best this year! The N9 X870E is designed to be used on the Zen 5 AMD Ryzen 9000 series desktop CPUs.

The N9 X870E has plenty of overclocking capabilities for those who need to make sure they are getting all the performance they can from their hardware. While it is designed to be used with the 9000 series Ryzen chips, it is also compatible with the 8000 and 7000 series. The N9 X870E will also support future generations of AM5 Ryzen processors alongside AMD’s commitment to AM5 until at least 2027.

Of course, the N9 X870E is going to come with all the top-of-the-line features that AMD has to offer. Some of the main features it will offer are USB 4.0, PCIe 5.0, Bluetooth 5.4, 5GB ethernet, and, best of all, Wi-Fi 7! This is going to make sure users have all the speed they need, no matter the task at hand. NZXT has also added a slim RGB strip to the mix this time around but the N9 X870E still looks as sleek as ever! It will also be easily integrated with other NZXT RGB products.

N9 X870E Key Features:

  • AMD AM5 Socket: Ready for AMD Ryzen™ 9000, 8000, and 7000 series desktop processors.
  • Advanced Power Solution: A robust 20+2+1 power stage design (110A SPS) and 8-layer, low-loss 2oz copper PCB ensure exceptional stability and overclocking potential.
  • Optimized Thermal Design: Stays cool under pressure with a high-performance VRM heatsink array (optimal fin, thermal pads, dual PWM fans) and dedicated heatsinks for all M.2 slots.
  • PCIe® 5.0 M.2 Slot: Access PCIe® 5.0 storage speeds with the top M.2 slot, plus three additional PCIe® 4.0 M.2 slots, all with an easy-to-use quick-release latches

Coming in both black and white options, NZXT is making sure to cover its bases when it comes to its new N9 X870E AMD Motherboard. While everything looks good on paper, we will need to see some real-world performance benchmarks and reviews before we can comment on how good the motherboard is. If past examples are anything to go by, the N9 X870E should be a more than viable option for those looking to make the most of the AM5 platform.

We are starting to see more high-performing components based around the Zen 5 platform. In fact, G.Skill has also just announced its new 48GB Kits of DDR5-9000 that feature AMD EXPO. Considering AMD is offering support of ZEN 5 through 2027, we can likely expect to see even more powerful and faster components in the future.

At the moment, there is no pricing on the N9 X870E but NZXT has said this will be released sometime in Q1 2025 when the motherboard is readily available. We will be trying to get our hands on a sample when they are released so make sure to check back for the review in due time.
