NVIDIA has announced that GeForce Experience will be discontinued before the end of 2024, with users being migrated to a new unified app called the NVIDIA App. This change is part of NVIDIA’s effort to streamline its software and replace outdated programs like GeForce Experience and the NVIDIA Control Center. The NVIDIA App will take up 17% less storage than both of these old programs combined and is designed to simplify GPU configuration while preparing for new software features.

The company aims to complete the migration process by the end of 2024, though some users may resist the change. Certain features, like AV1 recording, may not be fully supported right away. Additionally, there have been complaints from users about bugs and issues with the NVIDIA App beta. However, most gamers agree that the transition is necessary for future improvements.

NVIDIA has responded to feedback by addressing several issues in the latest beta release of the NVIDIA App. One of the most notable updates is the addition of multi-monitor RTX HDR support, allowing users to simulate HDR in SDR games across multiple screens. Other improvements include G-SYNC controls, customizable font colors in the NVIDIA HUD, and the introduction of per-game driver settings. NVIDIA has promised that all remaining features from the old NVIDIA Control Panel will be added to the new app in future updates.

The beta version of the NVIDIA App is currently available for download on NVIDIA’s website, and the system requirements are compatible with older machines. However, users are advised to wait for a more stable release if they prefer to continue using GeForce Experience and the Control Panel for now. The first stable release of the NVIDIA App is expected within a few months.
