ADATA‘s gaming brand, XPG, has introduced the HURRICANE MAG ARGB fan set, a four-piece solution aimed at providing flexibility and simplicity for PC builders. A standout feature of this fan set is the ability to change the blade rotation direction with a single press of a button on the accompanying cable, ensuring an easy switch between modes.
Innovative Dual-Blade Design
The HURRICANE MAG ARGB fan has a 120mm size and boasts a patented bidirectional blade design. This feature allows it to deliver efficient cooling regardless of the blade’s rotation direction, solving the challenge of balancing airflow in complex setups. This makes it especially suitable for unique PC layouts, such as “sea view room” cases, where both standard and reverse-blade fans might be needed.
Performance Specifications
The XPG fans uses a reliable Rifle bearing and a six-pole motor for enhanced durability and performance. Below are the detailed performance metrics:
Standard Mode:
- Speed: 300–2000 RPM
- Airflow: Up to 54.82 CFM
- Static Pressure: Up to 2.74 mmH₂O
- Noise: Maximum 23.36 dB(A)
Reverse Mode:
- Speed: 300–2000 RPM
- Airflow: Up to 49.27 CFM
- Static Pressure: Up to 3.29 mmH₂O
- Noise: Maximum 31.36 dB(A)
In reverse mode, while the static pressure increases slightly, the airflow reduces and noise levels rise to 31.36 dB(A).
Simplified Installation
XPG has also integrated magnetic “building blocks” into the fan design, allowing users to link up to six fans with a single power cord. This reduces cable clutter and makes installation more efficient and neat, ideal for users aiming for a clean build.
