A Microsoft representative stated, “Customers can still purchase available Surface Studio 2+ units through our retailers and partners. However, in areas where it’s out of stock, we are no longer accepting new orders.”

Targeted at creative professionals and business clients, this model was marketed as a premium all-in-one desktop computer, with prices starting at $4,500.

With the discontinuation of the Microsoft Surface Studio 2+, the entire Surface Studio series also reaches its conclusion. Sources have revealed to Windows Central that Microsoft does not intend to develop a Surface Studio 3.

In 2023, Microsoft canceled several other Surface products, including Surface Duo 3 and Surface Earbuds 2. It now appears that Surface Studio 3 was also part of these cancellations.

The Surface Studio lineup was never intended for the mass market, primarily due to its high price, which limited its audience. Additionally, the use of previous-generation specifications made the hefty price tag even harder to justify.
