At CES 2025, NVIDIA announced exciting updates for gamers worldwide. The company is expanding its cloud gaming service, GeForce NOW, to more devices and countries, making it easier for players to enjoy PC gaming with high-quality graphics and smooth performance.
NVIDIA revealed that GeForce NOW will soon be available on the Steam Deck through a special app launching later this year. This app will allow Steam Deck users to experience gaming at the same level as those with GeForce RTX 4080 graphics cards. Players can enjoy stunning visuals, low delays, and fast frame rates. Additionally, the service supports playing in handheld mode, connecting to a monitor for 1440p at 120 frames per second, or streaming on a TV at 4K resolution with HDR for vibrant colours.
The service is also expanding to Apple Vision Pro, Meta Quest 3, Meta Quest 3S, and Pico mixed-reality devices. This means players using these devices can enjoy GeForce NOW’s advanced features, including ray tracing and NVIDIA’s DLSS technology, which make games look smoother and more realistic.
In addition to new devices, GeForce NOW is launching in more countries. This year, NVIDIA will open its first GeForce RTX-powered data centre in India, giving gamers in the region access to high-quality cloud gaming. This follows the recent expansion in Chile and Colombia and the upcoming launch in Thailand. These developments show NVIDIA’s commitment to bringing PC gaming to more people around the world.
NVIDIA also announced two exciting games coming to GeForce NOW. Avowed, a fantasy role-playing game from the creators of Fallout: New Vegas, will launch on February 18, 2025. In this game, players will investigate a mysterious plague while using magic and weapons, with in-game companions that have unique stories influenced by player choices. Another big title is DOOM: The Dark Ages, a prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal, where players take on the role of the legendary DOOM Slayer, battling demons in a fast-paced action game.
This week, six new games are also joining the GeForce NOW library, including Road 96, Builders of Egypt, DREDGE, Drova – Forsaken Kin, Kingdom Come: Deliverance, and Marvel Rivals. These additions expand the already impressive library of over 2,100 titles available on the platform.
