At today’s global launch event, Samsung Electronics unveiled its latest flagship smartphone series, the Samsung Galaxy S25. The series includes three models: the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra. This article will focus on the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25
In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy S25 series is Samsung’s thinnest S series yet, featuring slimmer bezels, a flat screen, and a right-angled bezel design. The Galaxy S25 measures 70.5 × 146.9 × 7.2mm and weighs 162 grams, while the Galaxy S25+ measures 75.8 × 158.4 × 7.3mm and weighs 190 grams.
The entire Samsung Galaxy S25 series is equipped with second-generation Dynamic AMOLED displays, supporting a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, which adjusts automatically between 1Hz and 120Hz. The Galaxy S25 has a 6.2-inch FHD+ screen, and the S25+ features a 6.7-inch QHD+ display. Both models support Vision Booster and adaptive color tone technology, ensuring optimal visual performance in various lighting conditions.
On the imaging front, the Galaxy S25 and S25+ feature a 50-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 10-megapixel telephoto lens, along with a 12-megapixel front camera. The models introduce a new noise reduction algorithm embedded in the mobile chip, which enhances video quality by reducing noise, especially in low-light environments. Additionally, the series supports 10-bit HDR recording, offering four times the color richness of traditional 8-bit video.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Extreme Edition mobile platform (customized for Galaxy), designed to enhance AI capabilities. The platform boosts NPU performance by 40%, CPU performance by 37%, and GPU performance by 30%. It also supports AI-driven enhancements, such as the ProScaler algorithm and mDNle screen quality technology, which can improve image clarity by up to 40% compared to the previous Galaxy S series.
For thermal management, the series features an optimized heat dissipation system, improving heat sink efficiency by 40% and thermal conductivity by 20%, enabling better performance during intensive usage and AI processing.
Battery-wise, the Galaxy S25 has a 4000mAh battery, while the Galaxy S25+ offers a larger 4900mAh capacity. Both models support 45W wired fast charging, along with wireless charging 2.0 and wireless power sharing for charging other Qi-enabled devices.
Both models are IP68-rated for water and dust resistance, ensuring protection even when submerged up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 series comes pre-loaded with One UI 7, based on Android 15, offering a more intelligent and personalized user experience. One UI 7 integrates AI agents and multimodal features throughout the interface, making the Galaxy S25 a highly responsive and intuitive “super-human intelligent assistant.” Key features include:
