ASUS Announces AMD Radeon RX 9070 and 9070 XT Graphics Cards

ASUS has introduced the new AMD Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards under its TUF Gaming and Prime series. These new graphics cards use AMD’s latest RDNA 4 technology and come with 16 GB of VRAM. They also support AMD’s HYPR-RX technology and a special super resolution mode that improves image quality using machine learning.

Powerful Performance with Advanced Cooling
The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition and TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 OC Edition are built for long-lasting performance. These cards have three powerful fans with eleven blades each, designed to keep the GPU cool even during intense gaming. The fans can stop spinning when the card is not under heavy load, making it completely silent during light tasks.
To further improve cooling, ASUS has included wide vents on the aluminium backplate. This helps heat escape more efficiently. Users can also switch between two different performance modes using a physical Dual BIOS switch. One mode prioritizes performance, while the other focuses on quiet operation.
Advanced Thermal Pad for Better Cooling
Instead of regular thermal paste, these new TUF Gaming cards use a phase-change thermal pad. This pad starts as a solid at room temperature but turns into a liquid when heated. This change helps fill tiny gaps between the GPU and the cooling system, allowing better heat transfer. These pads last much longer than regular thermal paste, making the cards more durable.
ASUS has also reinforced the cards with a strong metal frame to prevent bending. The fans use dual-ball bearings, which last twice as long as regular bearings. The PCB is coated to protect against dust, moisture, and electrical damage, ensuring long-term reliability.
Stylish and Compatible with Aura Sync
The TUF Gaming Radeon RX 9070 XT and RX 9070 have a rugged design with a simple, clean look that fits well in most PC builds. The TUF Gaming logo on the side of the card lights up and supports Aura Sync, allowing users to match the lighting with their other ASUS components.
Compact Prime Series with Strong Cooling
For users looking for high performance in a smaller space, ASUS has also introduced the Prime Radeon RX 9070 XT OC Edition and Prime Radeon RX 9070 OC Edition. These cards use a triple-fan cooling system but fit in a more compact 2.5-slot design.
To improve cooling in tight spaces, ASUS has designed these fans with a smaller central hub and longer blades. The fans also have a surrounding ring to direct airflow downward for better cooling. Like the TUF Gaming models, the Prime cards use phase-change thermal pads, dual-ball bearing fans, and an aluminium backplate for durability.
Choosing the Right Power Supply
ASUS recommends upgrading to a reliable power supply when using these new graphics cards. The TUF Gaming Gold series PSUs offer efficiency and durability, ranging from 750W to 1200W. For those looking for a budget-friendly option, the ASUS Prime Gold PSU series provides stable power and 80 Plus Gold certification for energy efficiency.
With these new AMD Radeon RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT graphics cards, ASUS continues to offer gamers powerful and reliable options for the latest gaming experiences.
