ASRock has shared the first pictures of its upcoming Live Mixer series motherboards, designed for mid-range users. These new motherboards are available for both AMD and Intel processors and feature colourful designs with useful features for everyday PC builders. Positioned alongside ASRock’s Steel Legend lineup, the Live Mixer series focuses on offering solid performance without high-end extras. The onboard audio uses reliable chips like the ALC1200 or ALC4080, which are suitable for regular use but don’t include advanced audio features.
The AMD B850 Live Mixer WiFi is a full-size ATX motherboard using the AMD B850 chipset, which updates the popular B650 chipset. It supports AMD’s latest Ryzen 9000 series processors, including the high-performance 9000X3D models, straight out of the box. The board includes three M.2 slots for NVMe storage, with one slot supporting the faster Gen 5 standard and the other two offering Gen 4 speeds. It also comes with WiFi 6E for fast and reliable wireless internet.
The Intel B860 Live Mixer WiFi is another model in this series, designed for Intel’s new “Arrow Lake” processors. This motherboard uses the B860 chipset and supports the LGA1851 socket. Like the AMD version, it includes three M.2 slots, with one supporting Gen 5 speeds without affecting the speed of the x16 slot for graphics cards. It also features WiFi 6E, making it a strong option for mid-range Intel builds.
For those looking for a smaller option, ASRock has the B860M Live Mixer WiFi, a Micro-ATX version of the B860 board. This model offers most of the same features but has a few differences. The third M.2 slot doesn’t include a heatsink, and the second PCIe slot is physically smaller, although this won’t impact performance since it operates at the same x4 speed as the full-size version.
When ASRock B850 and B860 will be available ?
Both AMD and Intel are expected to launch their B850 and B860 chipsets in January, and ASRock’s Live Mixer series is likely to be available around the same time. These motherboards offer a great balance of performance and features for gamers and PC enthusiasts who want reliable options at a reasonable price.
