ASRock Radeon RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark Announced
ASRock has expanded its Radeon RX 9070 XT graphics card lineup by introducing a new version called the Steel Legend Dark. This new model was quietly added to ASRock’s website on February 28, but it has not been widely promoted.
The Steel Legend Dark is a special version of the RX 9070 XT Steel Legend. The main difference is its colour—instead of the usual white design, this one has a black and grey theme. However, the shroud (outer cover) and backplate keep the same design as the standard version.

ASRock has not made any changes to the performance of this card. It has the same specifications as the standard RX 9070 XT Steel Legend. This means it is a non-overclocked card, meaning it runs at the usual speed set by AMD.
Right now, ASRock has not announced a non-XT version of the Steel Legend Dark. However, this might change in the future. The official launch date for the RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark is March 6.
Many ASRock fans have noticed that there is no Phantom Gaming version of the RX 9070 XT yet. In previous years, ASRock released Phantom Gaming graphics cards, such as the RX 7800 XT Phantom Gaming OC, which had a black and grey design with RGB lighting.
It is possible that the Steel Legend Dark is meant to fill the gap for now. ASRock might still release a Phantom Gaming version later, but we will have to wait and see.
The ASRock RX 9070 XT Steel Legend Dark is simply a black and grey version of the regular Steel Legend model. If you prefer darker-coloured graphics cards, this could be a good option. More details will likely be revealed when it officially launches on March 6.
