ASUS has announced its latest mini-PC, the ROG NUC 2025, featuring powerful new hardware. Although it wasn’t shown during the company’s CES 2025 showcase, ASUS shared key details about this exciting product.
The new ROG NUC comes with Intel’s Core Ultra 9 Series 200HX processor and NVIDIA’s GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU. This GPU has 16 GB of GDDR7 memory, providing great graphics performance for gaming and other tasks. The ROG NUC supports up to 96 GB of DDR5-6400 memory and has two SO-DIMM slots for easy upgrades. For storage, it has space for up to 2 TB of SSD in its M.2 slot.
The ROG NUC has a compact design with a size of 282.4×187.7×56.5 mm, making it small enough to fit on a desk. ASUS has also upgraded the cooling system, including three fans and a dual vapor chamber. This cooling setup can handle up to 135 W of heat, keeping the CPU and GPU running smoothly. It even includes a heatsink to keep the SSD and memory cool.
For connectivity, the ROG NUC offers modern options. It has one Thunderbolt 4 Type-C port, two USB 3.2 10 Gbps Type-A ports, one USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C port, two DisplayPort 2.1 ports, and two HDMI 2.1 outputs. This allows users to connect multiple monitors and devices easily.
ASUS has also made the design of the ROG NUC 2025 more user-friendly. The chassis is toolless, making upgrades simpler for users.
While ASUS has not revealed the price, it is expected to be high due to the powerful hardware and advanced features. The ROG NUC 2025 will be available in the first quarter of 2025, but an exact release date has not been announced yet.
This new mini-PC is set to be a great option for gamers and power users who need a small but strong computer.
