The Shark series from Blackview is known for relatively cheap but still well-equipped smartphones. With the Blackview SHARK 9, there is now a new model that supports 5G and also offers quite decent features for a little money.
The Blackview Shark 9 also looks stylish. It has a flat plastic design with a rough back that shows a kind of wave pattern. You can choose between black and blue. At 8.65mm, the Blackview Shark 9 is not too thick and weighs a smooth 200 grams.
The Blackview Shark 9 is equipped with a 6.67-inch IPS LCD panel with HD+ resolution and 90Hz refresh rate. According to Blackview, the display has a brightness of 700 nits, which should significantly improve readability in sunlight compared to many other LCD-based cell phones. The processor is a T820 from Unisoc (Antutu approx. 530k).
This is manufactured in 6nm and consists of a Cortex A76 core with 2.7GHz, three Cortex A76 cores with 2.3GHz, and four Cortex A55 cores with 2.1GHz. A Mali G57 MC4 is used as the GPU. Blackview combines the chip with a generous 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB UFS 2.2 storage, which can also be expanded using a micro SD card as long as you don’t need a dual SIM.
In terms of cameras, the Blackview Shark 9 has a 50MP main camera, a 2MP macro and 2MP depth camera, as well as an 8MP front camera. The main camera is said to be able to record videos in 4k, which is unusual in this price range.
Apart from that, the Blackview Shark 9 comes with stereo speakers and a 3.5mm connection. The device features a 5000mAh battery with a maximum charging power of 18W. It runs on Doke OS 4.0, which is based on Android 14. In addition to 5G, the wireless capabilities include AC WiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC with Google Pay support.
Blackview W50 Pro smartwatch
Blackview is also set to unveil an IP68-certified W50 Pro smartwatch, which has over 100 workout modes and comprehensive health tracking features, like 24/7 heart rate monitoring, stress levels, blood oxygen, and smart sleep monitoring. More surprisingly, it has a built-in flashlight and compass for extra safety and a robust 960mAh battery for long-term use.
