CalDigit Launches New Thunderbolt 5 Element 5 Hub
CalDigit has introduced a new docking station called the Element 5, built with the latest Thunderbolt 5 technology. This hub is designed to offer fast data transfer and multiple connectivity options, making it useful for professionals and everyday users. The Element 5 is priced at $249.95 in the US and comes with nine ports, providing flexibility for connecting various devices.
The Element 5 hub includes four Thunderbolt 5 ports, which allow for high-speed data transfers of up to 120 Gb/s. It also features two USB-C ports and three USB-A ports, each supporting speeds of 10 Gbps. The hub comes with a 180-watt power adapter, ensuring that connected devices receive up to 90 watts of power passthrough to keep them running.
CalDigit is known for making well-built and stylish products, and the Element 5 follows that trend. Its sturdy design and high-quality materials ensure durability, making it a reliable addition to any setup. The previous model, the CalDigit Element Thunderbolt 4 Hub, received positive reviews, which raises expectations for the Element 5 as well.
For those who need multiple displays, the Element 5 can handle several high-resolution monitors. Windows users can connect up to three external displays, while Mac users can connect up to two due to a limitation in M4 Mac computers. The hub supports dual 4K 240Hz, dual 6K 60Hz, and even dual 8K 60Hz monitors, making it great for high-resolution work and gaming.
The CalDigit Element 5 is available starting today from CalDigit’s online store in the US. Customers in the UK and EU will be able to purchase it in mid-to-late February. This new hub offers fast speeds, multiple ports, and strong display support, making it a great choice for users looking to expand their device connectivity.
