ColorWare has introduced a special version of the Apple Mac Mini with a retro look, bringing back memories of old Apple computers while keeping modern performance. The Mac Mini, powered by Apple’s M4 chip, is already a small but powerful computer, but this custom design is aimed at those who love vintage aesthetics.
The internal hardware remains the same, with three available versions. The base model features 16GB of memory and 256GB of storage, while a higher version offers 24GB of memory and 512GB of storage. The main difference is in the exterior design. ColorWare has transformed the Mac Mini to resemble Apple’s older computers, such as the Apple II. It is available in two colour options: Retro Light, which has a beige tone similar to early Apple machines, and Retro Dark, which features a black finish for a sleek, vintage look. The usual Apple logo has been replaced with the rainbow-coloured Apple logo from the company’s early days, and the sides have been redesigned with custom vents to match the style of classic Apple computers.
Apple Mac Mini Pricing
This retro makeover comes at a higher price. While the standard Mac Mini starts at $599, the ColorWare version begins at $899, adding a $300 premium. For fans of old-school designs, this unique MacMini may be worth the extra cost, but others may find it unnecessary. Regardless, the nostalgic charm of this special edition is undeniable.
