Dune: Awakening Pre-Orders Open – Special Editions and PC Specs Revealed

Dune: Awakening, the multiplayer survival game based on Frank Herbert’s famous sci-fi novel and Legendary Entertainment’s movies, is launching on May 20th. Funcom has announced that pre-orders are now live, bringing players closer to the vast and dangerous world of Arrakis.
Business Model and Post-Launch Plans
Funcom has confirmed that Dune: Awakening will be a full launch, not an Early Access title. It will not require a subscription, and the game will receive free updates over time. Additional content will come through optional DLCs, following a traditional business model.
The developers have a history of supporting online games, such as Conan Exiles, which still gets updates after eight years. Dune: Awakening will follow a similar path, receiving continuous improvements and new content.

At launch, Dune: Awakening will support advanced technology for better graphics and performance, including:
- NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation
- AMD FSR and Intel XeSS 2 for better image quality
- Razer Chroma RGB and Razer Sensa HD Haptics for deeper immersion
Players can also test their hardware by downloading the Character Creator & Benchmark Mode on Steam.
