With the True Spirit 140 Direct we present a very thin Heatpipe Direct Touch cooler, which is perfectly suited to fit about all motherboards, due to its special design concept. The heat sink is only 42 mm wide, with the fan mounted, the width is just 68.5 mm. The cooler is based on the proven True Spirit tower-design and is aimed at users who are looking for a powerful, yet compact CPU cooler at a budget.
The successful concept of a thin heatsink, optimized for slow running 140 mm fans, has been maintained. The space between the cooling fans is such that even at a minimal airflow the maximum cooling capacity can be guaranteed. Several openings counteract the accumulation of air between the cooling fins, so that an optimum air exchange is ensured. Thus we ensure the optimal balance of cooling and noise.
The main feature of the True Spirit 140 Direct are the specially designed, concave formed heat pipes, which allow a very effective heat exchange from the CPU. The patented design of the heatpipes, which have not been ground flat, gives the cooler a cooling capacity that’s outstanding for such a thin HDT cooler.
Another feature of the True Spirit 140 Direct is the reduced installation height. Because of its conception as direct touch heatpipe cooler, the “Direct” is 4 mm lower than the True Spirit 140 Rev. A and a whopping 9 mm lower than the True Spirit 140 Power. This makes it possible to mount the compact cooler in even more cases.
A TY 140 Black PWM-fan is included with the cooler. The fan is equipped with a low-wearing “Enhanced Hyper-Flow Bearing”. Thanks to the very low starting speed of just 300 rpm and the maximum speed of only 1,300 rpm, the black fan runs very silently at 15 – 21 dB(a) and is almost inaudible while running.
