With the ever-growing demand for mobile phones, there is also a growing demand to be able to charge these phones. While most phones can make it through the day with a bit of use, this isn’t always the case and there isn’t always a convenient place to plug in your charger should you need to. This is where portable chargers come in and the files at iWALK are looking to make sure your phone is never without power.
The iWALK USB-C Portable 4800mAh charger is currently listed for £25.99 on Amazon UK with an additional 15% off voucher that you can apply to bring the price down to £22.09. This is a fair price considering that it can charge most phones up fully at least one time and can fit in your pocket or bag without taking up too much room.
iWALK Charger Closer Look
Inside the box are the charger, charging cable, and a welcome guide. The charger is pretty much plug and play so there isn’t much that is needed to get you started.
The iWALK charger has a small display on the front to let you know what percentage of charge it has left. This can be viewed by hitting the power button, even if the charger is not being used at the time to charge a phone.
Not much going on around the backside of the charger, we can see the serial number and some of the input/output voltages.
As this is a USB-C charger, it is also charged by USB-C by using the included cable. Unfortunately, it does not come with a mains plug but most should have one of those around anyway so not a big deal.
The other side features a small power button. Should this not automatically start charging your phone when plugged in, just hit the power button and you should be good to go. Also, as mentioned, you can hit this button at any time to see how much charge the iWALK charger has left.
There is a small cap to put over the USB-C charging port when not in use, this will help dust and debris from getting inside, ensuring it always charges as best possible.
Final Words
Considering the price, the iWALK is a nice USB-C portable charger to keep in your bag for peace of mind. In my testing, on average, I was able to charge my Pixel 8 from 0% to 95% multiple times. The Pixel 8 has a 4,575mAh battery so I was quite pleased to see this. The charging is also quite quick and after a few short minutes, I had enough charge to use my phone while it continued to charge, Of course, if using the phone while charging you won’t be able to charge your battery as much, but it’s good to know it can be done.
Even at the full price of £25.99, the iWALK charger is a worthy investment. I will be getting a couple of these myself as they are small and great to bring with you on your travels. If you are going out for just the day, no more need to bring the overly big chargers, just bring the small iWALK charger that works.
