Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) Tablet Leaked: Launching in May
Lenovo Legion Y700 (4th Gen) gaming tablet has been one of the most hotly anticipated mobile devices of this year, and now, after a few months of promotional noise, we are seeing some reports that the tablet is set for a May launch. After an early look at its key specs, Lenovo has uploaded official images showing the device’s design.
The Lenovo Legion Y700 will come with an iconic “LEGION” and “LENOVO” branding on its rear panel and be available in matte black and pearl white colorways. Alongside these logos, there is a 50MP primary camera with an LED flash. Physical controls on the right edge include a volume rocker, power button, and a microSD (TF) card slot; the bottom features a USB-C charging port and speaker grilles.
With a dimension of 207.58 mm in length and 128.5 mm in width, the Lenovo Legion Y700 is also smaller than Apple’s iPad mini 7, which means it has a better screen-to-body ratio, thus improving ergonomics. Weighing in at 340 grams, it still does the job quite handily for one-handed use.
Marketed as a flagship Android gaming device, the Legion Y700 packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset ( “Extreme Edition” could refer to region-based nomenclature). The display in question measures 8.8 inches, with a 16:10 aspect ratio that is designed to enhance gaming and video watching. Dual X-axis linear vibration motors offer enhanced haptics, while an enormous 12,000mm² copper vapor chamber looks after thermal management.
There are 12GB and 16GB RAM options (depending on which else you buy) with 256GB or 512GB of storage. A 7,600mAh battery delivers marathon gaming, along with 68W fast charging when you need a quicker boost.
This version of the Lenovo Legion Y700 seeks to deliver a premium Android gaming tablet experience, with an emphasis on gaming specs for the enthusiast without compromising portability.
