Lenovo is introducing a new, unique SSD inspired by the movie “Operation Hadal,” a war film that features a hand grenade. Details regarding the solid-state drive emerged from a post on Lenovo’s Chinese website, and it seems to be gaining traction.
Features of New Lenovo Legion SSD
Currently, its details are still limited, however, a crowdfunding page has provided some information about the SSD’s key specs. According to the translation, the device could be called the “Savior Tactical Mobile SSD,” although the final name may differ. According to the crowdfunding page, the SSD is expected to retail for around $82, but prices may vary depending on the region.

In terms of specifications, the grenade-shaped SSD offers transfer speeds of up to 1,050MB/s. While this isn’t the fastest on the market, it outperforms several external SSDs. The design aspect adds to its appeal, making it more than just a performance device.
The SSD is expected to use the USB 3.2 high-speed protocol and features a USB-C interface. It may come in storage options of up to 1TB. Tom’s Hardware has speculated on its specifications based on what has been seen in other Lenovo Legion products.
Currently, the crowdfunding campaign for this SSD is at 69% of its goal and still has several days left, suggesting that this grenade-themed SSD from Lenovo could soon become a reality.
