Lexar has introduced its latest high-performance memory kit, the Lexar ARES DDR5-6000, specially designed for AMD Ryzen processors. Optimised for compatibility with AMD systems, including the newly launched Ryzen 7 9800X3D, this memory kit promises fast speeds and impressive performance.
The Lexar ARES DDR5-6000 features AMD EXPO support, allowing users to easily configure it to run at DDR5-6000 speeds with tight timings, including a CAS latency (CL) of 26, translating to just 55 nanoseconds of response time. This gives it an edge over many other DDR5-6000 kits, which typically come with a CL of 30. Additionally, it supports Intel XMP 3.0, ensuring similar performance on Intel systems.
Under the hood, the Lexar ARES DDR5-6000 memory kit is built with SK Hynix A-die DRAM chips and a durable 10-layer PCB. To maintain stable performance, the module includes thermal pads that direct heat from the DRAM chips and the power management chip (PMIC) to a robust 1.8 mm-thick aluminium heatspreader.
For a modern touch, the Lexar ARES DDR5-6000 comes equipped with eight ARGB LEDs, providing 13 lighting effects. A silicone diffuser ensures the lighting appears smooth and consistent, enhancing the overall aesthetic. The memory kit is available in two sleek colour options—silver and black—catering to different build styles.
