Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is set to launch on PC through Steam on January 30, but players are starting to worry about some missing details. While the game has already impressed on the PlayStation 5 Pro, its PC version has been surrounded by uncertainty.
Missing Pre-Order Option
Insomniac Games announced the PC version of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 back in October 2024, but since then, there has been very little news. One of the biggest concerns is that there is no pre-order option available on Steam, even though Sony had advertised pre-order bonuses.
According to the official Steam page, the pre-order bonuses should include:
- Arachknight suit for Peter Parker (three color variations)
- Shadow-Spider suit for Miles Morales (three color variations)
- Early unlock for the Web Grabber gadget
- Three extra skill points
Despite this, players still cannot place a pre-order, and Sony has not explained the reason behind the delay.
No System Requirements Yet
Another strange issue is the lack of system requirements. Usually, Nixxes Software, the team handling the PC port, shares hardware requirements well before launch. However, the Steam page still says “TBA” (To Be Announced) under the system requirements section.
This is unusual, especially since previous Spider-Man games on PC had their specifications revealed in advance. Without this information, players do not know if their PC can run Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 smoothly.
Waiting for Updates
With just a few days left before launch, fans are hoping for updates soon. If Insomniac Games and Sony remain silent, it could lead to more confusion and even frustration among PC players.
For now, all eyes are on Steam and Insomniac Games to see if they will address these concerns before January 30.
