MAXSUN Arc B580 graphics card has been spotted in real life, revealing its unique design with two M.2 slots for SSDs. This feature lets users add extra storage directly onto the graphics card, making it stand out from the competition. The card uses only 8 of the 16 PCIe lanes it connects to on the motherboard, and MAXSUN has cleverly utilised the remaining lanes by adding support for PCIe Gen 4 NVMe SSDs, known for their incredible speeds.

A leaked photo, reported by Tom’s Hardware, shows the Maxsun Arc B580’s compact PCB, which measures around 18 cm. At the back of the card, two M.2 slots are visible, ready to house SSDs. These slots are cooled by an aluminium heatsink, with airflow provided by the GPU’s second and third fans. The card is powered by the “BMG-G21” graphics chip and includes six GDDR6 memory chips. A 6-phase VRM handles the power delivery, and two 8-pin PCIe connectors ensure the card and SSDs have enough power. With the GPU’s power limit of 190 W and each SSD drawing about 10 W, the second 8-pin connector helps balance the load.

Is MAXSUN Arc B580 the First GPU to Feature Dual SSD Slots?

This isn’t the first graphics card to feature M.2 slots. ASUS previously introduced the DUAL GeForce RTX 4060 Ti SSD OC, which included one M.2 slot. However, MAXSUN takes it further with two slots, making the Maxsun Arc B580 a fascinating option for gamers and tech enthusiasts who want extra storage directly on their GPU.
