MSI has introduced a new gaming monitor, the MSI MAG 255PXF, designed for players who want speed and quality visuals. With a size of 24.5 inches and a high refresh rate, this monitor is set to meet the needs of competitive gamers.
Rapid IPS Technology and Display Quality
The MSI MAG 255PXF uses a Rapid IPS panel, combining the vibrant colors and wide viewing angles of IPS panels with a low response time, making it suitable for fast-paced games like Counter-Strike 2 and Valorant. Although traditional TN panels are still slightly faster, the Rapid IPS technology brings a good balance between color quality and speed. This Full HD (1920 x 1080) display reaches up to 300Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and reducing motion blur. With a 0.5ms response time (GtG), this monitor is built to keep up with rapid movements on the screen.
The display specifications include a typical contrast ratio of 1,000:1, dynamic contrast ratio of 100,000,000:1, and brightness of 250 nits. Additionally, its anti-reflective coating prevents glare, and its color range covers 87% of Adobe RGB, 90% of DCI-P3, and 120% of sRGB, offering vibrant colors for both gaming and media.
Connection Options and Ergonomic Design
The MSI MAG 255PXF offers three video input options: a DisplayPort 1.4a (300Hz) and two HDMI 2.0b ports (240Hz). It also has a headphone jack but lacks USB ports. The frameless design keeps it sleek and modern. Additionally, it includes a Console Mode feature, setting the screen to 120Hz for compatible console games.
The stand allows height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, ensuring a comfortable viewing experience. There’s also a 100 x 100 VESA mount option for mounting on an arm to save desk space. A joystick on the monitor makes it easy to navigate through settings. MSI hasn’t yet announced the release date or price for the MSI MAG 255PXF, so competitive gamers should stay tuned.
