That’s right, SCAN UK is holding an exclusive launch event for the new NVIDIA 50 series GPUs alongside ASUS. The idea behind the event is to ensure that the new series of graphics cards makes its way into the hands of gamers and not scalpers.
The event is due to kick off tomorrow, January, 30th at Scan Computers in Bolton. As well as being able to say your are one of the first to receive the new 50 series of NVIDIA GPU, there will also be food, drink, and some limited edition merch.
This will be the only official launch event so that means there will also be competitions and prizes as well up for grabs. If you really want to get your hands on a shiny new GPU on day 1, then this is the place to be.

Update 30/01
The event seems to be going well with people queuing from as early as midnight last night. The SCAN boss even bought some pizzas for those in line and has been supplying coffee as well. Showing just why SCAN is one of the favourite online retailers in the UK.
The folks over at ASUS have been kind enough to send us an image with what to expect for the event activities and prizes.
The official launch time here in the UK is 2PM, so expect to see some more images from those in attendance across all social media channels!
One thing to note is that this is all UK only. Unfortunately, this means that the 2nd activity with the hashtags is also only available to those in the UK.
