NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 Expected to Launch in March

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and 5060 Expected to Launch in March

New leaks suggest that NVIDIA will release the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 graphics cards next month. This information comes from a leaked slide by Chaintech, a Taiwanese company that used to make its own graphics cards but now works with the well-known Chinese manufacturer Colorful.

According to the leaked slide, the GeForce RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 launched in January, while the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5070 are expected in March. The RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 are also set to arrive in March, rounding off NVIDIA’s next wave of graphics cards. However, it is important to note that NVIDIA has not officially confirmed the launch dates for these GPUs. There were earlier reports suggesting that the RTX 5070 might arrive this month, but this new leak places it in March. The leaked information comes from Chaintech’s financial forecast for 2025, meaning it was likely meant for investors only.

RTX 5060

A key detail about the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is that it will come in two versions, mainly differing in memory size. One model will have 16GB of VRAM, while the other will have 8GB. Apart from the memory difference, both versions are expected to have the same graphics chip, core count, and clock speeds. The extra memory could be useful for certain games. For example, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, which features high-quality graphics and Ray Tracing, already shows performance differences due to VRAM limitations. In some cases, an Intel Arc A770 with 16GB of VRAM performs better than an RTX 3080 with 10GB. This highlights how important VRAM is for modern games, especially at higher resolutions.

Unlike the 5060 Ti, the standard GeForce RTX 5060 will only be available in an 8GB version. While this may be enough for most games at 1080p, it could struggle in more demanding titles in the future. Both the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 will use fast 28Gbps memory chips. With a 128-bit memory interface, this results in a total bandwidth of 448 GB/s. For comparison, this is 55% higher than the RTX 4060 Ti and 64% higher than the RTX 4060, which used slower 17Gbps memory. This increase in memory bandwidth could help boost performance, making these cards more powerful than their predecessors.

Geforce RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti Availability

While the official announcement from NVIDIA is still missing, the leaked details suggest that the RTX 5060 Ti and RTX 5060 could offer good performance improvements, especially in memory bandwidth. The 16GB version of the 5060 Ti may be a better choice for future games, while the 8GB models might be more affordable. With a possible launch in March, we can expect more details soon.
