Sabrent has announced the highest performance, highest capacity Gen 4 speeds solution named Rocket 4 Plus Destroyer 2. Performance of the Rocket 4 Plus Destroyer 2 should be in the range of the Rocket 4 Plus Destroyer. Maybe a tad bit higher. However, you can now double the capacity of the previous Destroyer using our new Rocket 4 Plus 8TB Gen 4 SSD.s
The Rocket 4 Plus Destroyer 2 is built on a HighPoint SSD7540 PCIe Gen4 x16 RAID card featuring a Broadcom PCIe Gen4 8 series PEX switch managing eight onboard M.2 slots. The card requires additional power via a 6-pin VGA power cable. The SSDs are cooled by a heavy-duty solid aluminum heat sink with thermal pads and active cooling. This single-slot card is about the length of a high-end graphics card.
The Rocket 4 Plus Destroyer 2 can be configured in various RAID configurations, including RAID 10 for data security or for all-out speed a RAID 0. The intended use cases for storage solutions like this are for large 12K and 4K video files and editing, and large deep learning databases and content creators who daily work with very large graphic files.
They also work well in high-end workstations or servers that have available x16 PCIe slots. These cards are simply installed into the system, next, install the drivers and bring up the web-based management interface to create your volumes and RAID types. It literally only takes a few minutes. An added plus is the entire card can be moved to a different system with the needed drivers installed and be working in minutes.
One does not have to use our massive Rocket 4 Plus 8TB SSDs for this, in fact, any SSD we offer including Gen 3 SSD will work with this solution and offer a great amount of flexibility for your storage needs. Our Rocket 4 Plus 8TB SSDs are on sale now at Amazon for 25% off discount.
