Sony has expanded its INZONE gaming monitor lineup with the announcement of two new models: the INZONE M10S and the INZONE M9 II. These monitors aim to enhance the gaming experience with advanced features focused on motion clarity, responsiveness, and vivid display quality.
The INZONE M10S is a 27-inch OLED monitor, offering a remarkable 480 Hz refresh rate and a response time of just 0.03 milliseconds. This combination ensures fast-paced action with minimal motion blur, making it ideal for competitive gaming. The QHD resolution further enhances visuals, providing 1.8 times the pixel density of a standard FHD display. This monitor is designed with input from professional esports players, particularly from the Fnatic VALORANT team. The monitor features a special 24.5-inch playing mode that delivers a 1:1 resolution, with the ability to choose lower resolutions such as 1080p, often preferred in esports competitions. Its ergonomics and customizable settings also make it ideal for gamers seeking both performance and comfort.
Sony has also introduced two new FPS modes aimed at optimizing gameplay for first-person shooter titles. The FPS Pro+ mode, in particular, has been fine-tuned with the expertise of Fnatic pro players to deliver sharper images and improved motion clarity, allowing players to spot opponents more effectively. The monitor’s self-illuminated OLED pixels and its peak brightness of 1300 nits, achieved through Micro Lens Array+ technology, bring vibrant colors and deep blacks, making every in-game scene feel more immersive.
The INZONE M10S has been designed not just for high performance but also for practicality. Its compact design, with a thin base that maximizes desk space, makes it easy to use for various gaming setups, accommodating different keyboard and mouse configurations.
Sony has also introduced the INZONE M9 II, an upgraded version of its 4K HDR gaming monitor. This model incorporates backlight scanning technology to further enhance motion clarity. It features a 160 Hz refresh rate and uses the full array local dimming technology seen in Sony’s BRAVIA TVs, delivering excellent contrast and brightness. With a 1 ms response time and support for NVIDIA G-SYNC, the INZONE M9 II is geared toward delivering an immersive and smooth gaming experience, especially for players looking for a high-quality 4K display.
Both monitors also prioritize environmental considerations, with Sony reducing the use of foam cushions in the INZONE M10S packaging and including a low power consumption mode. Sony’s partnership with Electronic Arts (EA) to provide INZONE M10S monitors for the Apex Legends Global Series Year 4 Championship further solidifies its commitment to the esports scene. The event will take place in Japan in January 2025, with competitors using these monitors during the tournament.
The INZONE M10S will be available in October at a price of $1,099, while the INZONE M9 II will be priced at $799, making both monitors a premium choice for gamers looking for advanced technology and professional-level performance.
