Xbox has given fans a closer look at South of Midnight, an upcoming action-adventure game that brings a fresh and exciting world to explore. The game is set in a unique version of the American South, filled with magic, strange creatures, and deep storytelling.

Players take on the role of Hazel, a young woman searching for her missing mother. Along the way, she discovers she is a Weaver, someone who can control magic by pulling on invisible threads that hold the world together. But the world around her is changing, and she must use her new powers to survive.
The game features fast and challenging combat. Players will fight mysterious creatures called Haints, inspired by Southern folklore. Some attack up close, while others strike from a distance or summon swarms of insects. Battles require quick thinking and strategy, using melee attacks, magical abilities, and special upgrades to defeat enemies.
A Beautiful and Strange World
One of the most exciting things about South of Midnight is its world. The game looks like a stop-motion movie, with characters moving in a unique way. The environment is filled with swampy landscapes, abandoned houses, and glowing lights, creating a mysterious and eerie setting.

Release Date and Early Access
South of Midnight launches on April 8, 2025, for Xbox Series X|S, Windows PC, and Steam. It will also be available on Game Pass from day one. Players who buy the Premium Edition can start playing up to five days early and receive digital extras.
